Wrap Wrap 5g – Multi-Wrap Gel
Wrap Wrap 5g is a professional-grade gel developed by nail technicians who primarily work in salons. While its quality is purely professional, its affordable price range makes it suitable for everyone, even at-home users.
Traditionally, many people have relied on mixing clear gels when filling in shell or aurora sheets. However, builder gels can be difficult to remove, may level poorly, or become too thick. As a result, there are very few gels truly suited for filling in.
Why Choose Wrap Wrap?
Wrap Wrap is a multi-wrap gel designed to solve these problems.
-
Generates minimal heat during curing, even when applied thickly.
-
Easy to remove, even with a thicker application.
-
Resistant to bubbles.
-
Self-leveling without excessive running.
When combined with mirror powder coatings, Wrap Wrap provides even greater durability.
Addressing a Common Nail Tech Issue
Thick mirror nail coatings have become a global concern among nail technicians. At many salons, mirror finishes are applied far too thickly, creating durability issues. Since my own technique avoids overly thick finishes, I’ve avoided using heavy “power play” layers.
I once tried applying a thin coat of a high-end, rubbery base gel before top coating, but it felt wasteful and even then, it wasn’t perfect considering the high cost.
Wrap Wrap was created specifically out of the need for a gel that could reliably support mirror coatings while also being versatile enough for other uses.
Recommended Uses
Wrap Wrap is ideal for:
-
Filling in Ungu’s Aurora and Uruuru 2.0 series nails
-
Embedding shells and stickers
-
Beam Powder with Uruuru Nails
-
Durable mirror powder coatings
Application Tips
-
After applying Wrap Wrap, cure and finish with a top gel.
-
For thicker applications, pre-cure with a flashlight before placing under a lamp to reduce heat.
-
To remove: file down the surface, soak in acetone, and scrape off softened gel with a metal pusher or nippers.
Troubleshooting Powder Lifting
If powder particles lift after applying Wrap Wrap, possible causes include:
-
Over-curing the non-wipe layer
-
Poor adhesion
-
Insufficient light exposure after application
To prevent lifting, apply powder only at the nail tip if needed.
Curing Guidelines
-
LED: 30+ seconds
-
UV: 60+ seconds (36W or higher recommended)
Note: Curing times vary depending on your lamp, so adjust as needed.
Precautions
-
Do not apply directly to natural nails.
-
Avoid skin contact.
