Fiote - Concealer Gel Series

I stamped with some pat art gels once before and I had to use a separate silicone tool to apply the gel to my stamping plate. I loved that this product had a spatula instead of a brush so no additional tool was needed. The black was thick and super opaque, which made it perfect for stamping and line art.

I really hate not being able to give one of my favorite brands, Fiote, a better rating than a 2, but I struggled to give this product anything more. I dont know what they were thinking with this collection and the colors are confusing at best. Here is why I struggled on 2 stars;
First, this product is not like a one coat gel polish that is eluded to on the packaging. I read all the materials so to have a correct expectation. Its very very thick, so much so that I had to stop and double check to make sure this was not a facial concealer. Seriously. Its so thick and there was no application tip brush. Instead, the tip is a silicone type applicator. This means if you want a smooth result you will need a separate brush and even then you will need advanced skills to get it smooth like other gel products. I had to use alcohol on my brush, for dilution and even then I did not get a totally smooth result. Fiote needs to go back to the drawing board with this one.
