How to Use Jello Jello Peel Off Base & One Kill Remover

If you do your own nails at home, gel removal can be a dreadful process. Filing off the gel, soaking your nails in acetone, and scraping off the gel is just not a fun process. Whether you like to change your nail looks often or just want less of a hassle when it comes to removal, peel-off bases can make the removal process a lot more convenient without the handwork of filing and wait-time of acetone soak-off. If you desire the ease of gel removal along with the perk of wearing a manicure until removal time, then Jello Jello Peel Off Base and One Kill Remover Set is the perfect solution.

While water-based peel-off bases must be air dried after application, peel-off base gels are cured using a nail lamp. Air-dried peel-off bases are more suitable for lacquer polishes or very short-term wear. Depending on how much you work with your hands, air-dried peel-off bases can cause lifting within just a few days or even less.

In comparison, peel-off base gels provide more durability and longer wear. With Jello Jello Peel-Off Base, manicures can last up to two weeks or even longer, depending on nail preparation, daily wear and tear from handwork, and nail care. Since peel-off base gels are intended for easy removal, it will not be as long-lasting as regular base gels and requires more protective care to help it last. Results typically vary depending on the wearer’s lifestyle and nail care habits.

When using peel-off base gels, it is important to avoid exposure to heat for long periods of time, such as long baths, hot tubs, or saunas. Wear gloves when cleaning or working with water to avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and minimize wear and tear. Reduce cuticle oil application as the oil may break down the peel-off base gel, causing lifting.

Jello Jello One Kill Remover only works properly with Jello jello Peel-Off Base Gel. So it is best to use both products together. Although the Jello Jello Peel-Off Base Gel can be applied prior to application of most nail products, it is not guaranteed to be compatible with all nail products on the market since testing with each nail product is infeasible. By using Jello Jello Peel-Off Base with other nail products, users accept the risk of incompatibility.

Application

For application, prepare the nails by filing them to the desired length and shape. Use a cuticle pusher to push back the skin around the nail and gently remove cuticle.

Using a medium grit buffer, gently buff the surface of the nails to remove the shine. Use an alcohol cleansing wipe to cleanse the nail plate of dust and oils.

Apply Jello Jello Peel Off Base to the nails and cure in a UV/LED nail lamp for 60 seconds. Proceed with gel color and art.

Removal

To prepare for removal, place a paper towel over the surface of your work area. Work on one hand at a time by applying 1-2 drops of One Kill Remover at the base of each nail.

Use the wooden pusher stick to gently lift the gel at the base or sides of the nail. As the product penetrates the gel at the edge, use the wooden stick to gently separate the gel from the natural nail. Lift the gel from one side of the nail and push the cuticle stick towards the other side of the nail to gently help the gel separate.

Do not force the gel off. Use the wooden stick to help lift the gel and apply 1-2 more drops of the One Kill Remover between the gel and natural nail as needed. Allow a few seconds for the product to break down the base gel while continuing to help the gel lift using the wooden stick.

Once the gel loosens, lift the rest of the gel using the wooden stick. It should easily lift off of the nail plate without excessive force. Use the wooden stick to gently scrape off any remaining loose peel-off base gel.

Repeat this process on the rest of your nails.

After removing gel from the nails using Jello Jello One Kill Remover, use a medium grit buffer or nail file to buff off remaining product on the nail.

After buffing, cleanse the nails with an alcohol wipe. Proceed with nail enhancement or apply cuticle oil to maintain natural nails.

Jello Jello Peel Off Base and One Kill Remover can be used to apply and remove gel manicures as well as soft gel full coverage tips such as Gel-X and is ideal for wearing nails for up to two weeks. Worry less about removal, and enjoy more of the nail art. Check out other peel off bases available at Sweetie Nail Supply.
