Fruit nails are a cheerful and eye-catching nail art trend that’s perfect for summer. Nothing says summer quite like the vibrant and juicy colors of fruits. From zesty citruses to juicy strawberries, fruit-inspired designs add a fun twist to your summer manicure. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, heading to an outdoor hangout, or just want to brighten your everyday look, this tutorial will show you how to create fun, fruit-inspired nails using Jel and Gel’s Nudy Ade Season 4–-a collection featuring ten vibrant jelly gel polishes in colors of the rainbow.
Jel and Gel’s Nudy Ade collections are known for their fruit-inspired color palettes. Nudy Ade Season 4 draws from the same source of inspiration. In comparison to other seasons of Nudy Ade collections, Season 4 features a collection with colors that are much richer in appearance with the same transparent jelly formula, making them suitable for a juicy fruit-inspired nail design. The polishes are buildable for color vibrancy, but not for opacity. However, its gel formula is smooth, uniform, easy to apply, and self-levels easily. You can apply these colors as a full nail color, layer them over magnetic gel or under glitter, use them under nail powder, and so much more! In this tutorial, we will be using them to create juicy gradations for our fruit nail designs.

Strawberry Nail
Apply one coat of NS036 to the base of the nail, covering only about one-fourth of the nail. Do not cure.
Apply NS031 to the tip of the nail and gently blend it into NS036 to create a seamless gradient using a liner brush. Cure for 60 seconds.
Using an oval brush, place a medium-sized dollop of Crazy Top Gel (Thick) at the center of the nail. Use a liner brush to guide and shape the gel into a strawberry shape. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a liner brush with a white gel of choice to paint small dots on the strawberry. Cure for 60 seconds.
Apply top gel. Cure for 60 seconds.
Blueberry Nail
Apply one coat of NS039. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a liner brush to paint two small circles in the color NS038 at the center of the nail as the base for two blueberries.
Use a liner brush to apply a small dollop of Crazy Top Gel (Thick) over the blueberries to create dimension. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a liner brush with white gel to paint a tiny “x” on the tops of each blueberry, creating the blueberry crown. Cure for 60 seconds.
Apply top gel. Cure for 60 seconds.
Citrus Nail
Starting from the left side of the nail, apply NS034 to about two-thirds of the nail, leaving the right third of the nail unpainted.
On the unpainted side of the nail, apply NS033, blending the color into NS034. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a thin liner brush with white gel to paint a thin white curved line (base line) near the base of the nail, making sure to leave a narrow band of the yellow base color visible above the white line at the base of the nail.
Starting from the center of the base line, use a long liner brush to paint a perpendicular straight white line (line 1) from the center of the curved white line to the tip of the nail.
Using the center point of line 1 as your reference, paint a straight horizontal line (line 2) across the nail to create a cross pattern.
From the center point where line 1 and line 2 intersect, use a liner brush with white gel to paint a diagonal line extending out to the nail edge, dividing each of the four quadrants in half to create eight equal sections. Cure for 60 seconds.
Apply top gel. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a medium length liner brush with Crazy Top Gel (Thick) to overlay each of the eight sections. Start from the nail edge of the section, allowing the gel to settle on the designated section of the nail. Then slowly drag the brush to the center point, tapering the gel shape to create a pointed tip, creating a dimensional teardrop-like shape. Flash cure each section overlay for about 10 seconds before applying Crazy Top Gel (Thick) to the next section.
After Crazy Top Gel (Thick) has been applied to all eight sections, cure for 60 seconds.
Kiwi Nail
Starting at the center of the nail, apply NS034, leaving the sides of the nail unpainted. Do not cure.
Apply NS035 to the unpainted areas of the nail, blending the color into NS034 to create a gradient. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a black gel and thin liner brush to create a small ring of black dots at the center of the nail as the core of a kiwi. Cure for 60 seconds.
Apply top gel. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use an oval brush to apply a medium size dollop of Crazy Top Gel in Thick at the center of the nail in an oval shape. Cure for 60 seconds.
Watermelon Nail
Starting from the right side of the nail, apply NS031 to two-thirds of the nail, leaving the left side unpainted. Do not cure.
Apply NS037 to the unpainted area of the nail, blending it into NS 031 to create a gradient base. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a black gel and thin liner brush to create small black dots as watermelon seeds on the pink area of the watermelon. Cure for 60 seconds.
Apply top gel. Cure for 60 seconds.
Use a petal or oval brush to apply a medium size dollop of Crazy Top Gel in Thick at the center of the nail in an oval shape to create dimension. Cure for 60 seconds.
The results are a juicy set of fruit nails.
