U.S. Shipping Update

To our valued US customers,

Starting on August 29, the U.S. government will be removing the de minimis exemption, which previously allowed orders under $800 USD to be imported duty-free. To ensure our US customers are not unexpectedly charged import duties, we've made the difficult decision to temporarily pause all US orders while we work on a long-term solution.

We expect to resume shipping to the US in approximately two weeks. This may happen sooner or later, depending on updates from the FDA, customs clearance requirements, and our shipping partners.

Will prices increase once US orders resume?

Yes. There will be a price increase of about 10-15% to help cover costs from the FDA, brokerage charges, and tariffs. We’ve done everything we can to avoid raising prices, but these fees are too big for us to absorb. Please note that Canadian and non-USA international orders will not be impacted by this change.

What's next for Sweetie in the US?

To better serve our US customers, we have started working toward opening a US warehouse. This will help us bring prices back down for US customers in the future, making it easier for everyone. While we don't have a set date for its opening, our goal is to have it operational by mid-to-late 2026.

As a small company, this is a huge step for us, and one that we can only take because of your support. Every order and kind word helps us move closer to this goal, and we hope you'll stay with us as we make it happen.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We truly wouldn't be here without you, and we're committed to making your experience with Sweetie even better in the future.

Sincerely,

Sweetie Nail Supply
